In an age shaped by AI, instant answers, and shrinking attention spans, educators face the challenge of making learning engaging while still honoring the time, depth, and persistence real understanding requires. This session invites participants to explore how complexity can be used as a powerful catalyst for problem-solving and higher-level thinking—especially for gifted and advanced learners. Together, we will examine the unique needs of gifted students and discover strategies that encourage them to produce their best work. We’ll also challenge familiar but outdated G/T practices, reimagining them to create richer learning environments that cultivate curiosity, resilience, and sophisticated thinking in all students. Attendees will leave with practical approaches for designing meaningful, complexity-driven learning experiences that stretch students’ minds and energize classroom practice.
